Mkhitar Gosh 2021 Selected Red Wine Armenia
Mkhitar Gosh is named after an Armenian scholar, writer, lawmaker, public figure, thinker, and priest, who lived between 1130 and 1213. He was one of the representatives of the Armenian Renaissance who compiled the Armenian Code.
This limited production wine is a blend of Tigrani and Karmrahyut, both indigenous Armenian varietals from Ararat Valley and Tavush Province. The grapes were hand harvested and after undergoing a special selection, only the best berries were used to make this limited production and highly sought after wine worthy to be named after a Renaissance man!
· Barrel Aging – 12 months in Artsakh oak barrels
· Color - dark ruby with hints of violet.
· Nose - dark fruit and field flowers.
· On the palate - dark berries, chocolate with good balance of acidity and fruit. Good structure and a long finish.
