Grand Prix - Premium Red Dry Wines
This elegant yet dramatic wine is from the exceptional Karmrahyut grape, with an eight percent estate blend of Areni, Kakhet, and Meghrabuyr. The achievement is a wine with intense aromas of mature red fruit, rose petals and spices, and pure energy on the palate. Full-bodied with acidic balance and firm tannins, the wine finishes with notes of honey, laurel and vanilla. A mélange in wild harmony.
Armenia , known as the birthplace of the vine, is also the site of the oldest known winemaking ruins, dating back 8000 years. At ArmAs Estate, located 1,400 meters above the sea level in the Aragatsotn Province, winemaker Emilio Del Medico has paid homage to this heritage, partaking in the Renaissance of Armenia's winemaking legacy by crafting award winning elegant wines that stem from one of our country's best natural resources, the idyllic terroir of our ungrafted vines. This wine's brilliant and intense color with purple highlights comes from the native Karmrahyut grape which defines the grape's unique characteristic- "Karmir -hyut", meaning "red juice" in Armenian. Aged for 24 months in French and Karabakh oak barrels, the achievement is a wine with bold aromas of cranberries, cherries , plums and rose petals, with notes of white pepper and cinnamon esciting its complexity.
Best paired with cheeses, duck and filetmignon. May also be enjoyed with walnuts, figs and strawberries. After two to three years of bottle aging, this wines will excel when paired with noble game birds and poultry.
